Google Is Not Feeling Lucky for Search

The term Google has become synonymous with Web Search in the techie circles and even the prestigous Oxford Dictionary of English officially included Google as a verb meaning "To search for information about (a person or thing) using the Google search engine."

Unfortunately, even though millions of internet souls use Google more than any other search engine, the top search result in Google for search queries like "Search" or "Web Search" are occupied by Google competitors.

If you type "Search" in Google and hit the "I'm feeling lucky" button, you'll be take to the Windows Live Search Page. Similarly for "Web Search", here Yahoo! is luckier than Google or MSN. [Thanks Harish Ranganathan]
