Clouds are composed of tiny water droplets or ice crystals and stay suspended in the Earth's atmosphere. But can you imagine the average weight of a cloud ? Don't jump on the chair when you hear that it's equivalent to the weight of 100 elephants.According to scientists, the water in the little cloud weighs about 550 tons. And a bigger cloud may be around the weight of 200,000 elephants.
By the same calculation, the weight of water in an hurricane about the size of Missouri will be about 40 million elephants which is more than all the elephants that have ever lived on the planet.
